1. Tongue Scraping: A Detox Ritual for Fresh Breath & Gut Health
Why It Works: Your tongue harbors bacteria, toxins, and food particles that can affect your oral microbiome and digestive health. According to Ayurvedic medicine, tongue scraping helps eliminate toxins and supports overall well-being. Studies have also shown that tongue scraping reduces volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), which cause bad breath. That alone makes this practice worth it!
How to Incorporate: Use a stainless steel or copper tongue scraper every morning and night after you brush your teeth. Gently scrape from the back of your tongue to the front 7-10 times. Doing it before bed will help reduce the amount of bacteria able to grow, which reduces the chance of bad breath in the morning
